Who Is Cronicle Press?

Laura Cowan

By Laura Cowan

Laura K. Cowan is a tech editor and journalist whose work has focused on promoting sustainability initiatives for automotive, green tech, and conscious living media outlets.

Cronicle Tech News, Ann Arbor news, Ann Arbor tech, Cronicle Press

Cronicle Press is you, the Ann Arbor tech community. We don't talk enough. We don't follow each other on Twitter. We come to occasional meetups, but maybe we don't have time for every group we'd like to keep up with, and it's getting harder by the year to follow how many new startups are out there in town.

Cronicle Press aims to create a networking opportunity for the growing community of Ann Arbor tech people that is two-fold (or three-fold, or eleven-fold like some models of reality):

  1. A behind the scenes look at Ann Arbor tech companies, their people, and their latest projects, with ways to connect.
  2. Roundtable discussions, panels, and series interviews on local tech pros' thoughts about industry issues that affect their decision making daily.

We want to hear from you. It's early days, but we would love to host events or panels at meetups and conferences, help tech people meet other tech people across the aisle, from software to medical tech and mobility to sustainable energy.

This is a cool time to be in tech in Ann Arbor, so we're going to try to make this fun as well. Email the editor at laura@cronicle.press to tell us about your latest projects and thoughts, no matter what role you play and how tangential you think it is to core tech. Increasingly, every business is a tech business, and every voice matters.
