TC NewTech and other tech organizations including 20 Fathoms, Northern Michigan Angels, and Newton’s Road are about to host the Northern Michigan Startup Week from May 9-15, 2022.

University Idea Showcase May 12, 5:30
First annual university pitch competition for student-led startups during the Northern Michigan Startup Week.
The TCNewTech University Idea Showcase is open to both idea stage entrepreneurs as well as early stage startups based out of universities located in Michigan.
The participating universities will showcase their best student-led ideas to compete for cash prizes and a traveling trophy. A panel of judges will determine the best and most innovative idea and the audience will vote via text message for their overall favorite team.

Watch student teams from local high schools and Northwestern Michigan College compete for prizes in two entrepreneurial pitch competitions.
Join our local students at the Traverse City Opera House as they showcase the important STEM and business skills they’ve been learning in their programs! Hear their ideas for how to solve problems they’ve identified.
This event features pitch presentations by local high school innovators and Startup enthusiasts from Northwestern Michigan College. Cash prizes will be awarded after each competition.
