What Will Happen If I Practice Slow Living for a Year?

I'm happy with the direction of this hybrid Airbnb/content creator business for now, but recent analytics showed me viewers are responding heavily to my nature shorts on Youtube and IG/Tiktok more than any other content I post about the remote work journey and publishing nature writing and fantasy fiction based on Lake Michigan.

This is prompting me to pivot--on social media only--to slow living content and nature videography instead of the long form fictional content, which will still be rolled out but on the back end of the new focus on social media content. I also have a second reason for this pivot.

My health challenge sorting out a connective tissue disorder in recent years has prompted me to slow down my lifestyle on a permanent basis. My old habit is to push myself as hard as I can to keep up working from home, but that doesn't solve enough of the problems with exhaustion triggering immune and nervous system and joint problems as I age. So, and maybe this really is the real reason this took me so long, I'm going to make the vulnerable move of slowing down on camera and on this blog, and showing you around the life I'm building in nature with family that I truly love. This kind of vulnerability is challenging because it has led me to be attacked in more ways than one in the past, and way more than one time, but honestly I have very little to worry about these days with safety rebuilt as the foundation of my life. So I'm going to open up and take you with me on this remote life creative business owner journey by Lake Michigan. Thanks for bearing with me patiently as I pivoted the blog focus to remote work, since that has become a slower change than planned with the new focus on social media. The response from you all is clear, though. I had nearly 50,000 views and over 500 likes on one Tiktok video alone about high waves on Lake Michigan in a recent blizzard. I appreciate the clear direction and feedback, and would love nothing more than to bring you along with me to the beach in this place I love that keeps me healthy and happy and strong. Come along with.
