Nicolas Théorêt is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Centri. Each year, propane distributors waste over $1.5B on unnecessary deliveries. Centri seeks to help these distributors eliminate the waste in their delivery operations by offering them a simple IoT solution, the CentriConnect platform. Centri’s solution helps propane distributors minimize their delivery costs, optimize their operations, and grow their customer base. The technology has been in the beta testing phase with a propane distributor since March 2020 and the company is preparing the business for a commercial launch in the coming months.
Great Lakes Tech Events March & April 2021
For this month’s Great Lakes region tech events roundup, we are highlighting more online events available to you remotely for safety, as well as including some in-person events you might want to consider. Many groups have reported that they will be keeping remote live streams to some events after the pandemic, but others will not. It’s a great time to check out groups farther from home. This month, we’re including tech events from Chicago as well as our usual focus surrounding Southeast Michigan.
February Michigan Tech Events Focus on Post-Pandemic Life, Hackathons & Wellness Software
What’s going on lately with all the pitch groups and networking events that have gone virtual? This month, we’re seeing tech groups focus on planning through the end of the coronavirus pandemic to look forward to how work and life will function in the future. Also, we’re seeing a lot of conferences and pitch groups focused on agtech and health and wellness as well as COVID response technology and data analysis. Plus, some regular hackathons are still happening that you won’t want to miss out of Detroit.
Tech Conferences August 2020
Tech events continue to move mostly online, so this month we are highlighting both local Michigan events and global tech conferences that are more accessible than ever. If you’ve got Zoom fatigue don’t worry: there are so many events still coming up that you can pick and choose or check in once you have the energy to get back out there. Please note some conferences switch last-minute whether they are planning in-person events or remote and check websites for the latest up-to-date event information.
Online Tech Events May 2020
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak shutdown around the globe, a growing number of tech events have moved online for the first time. This month, we will feature some select tech events going on across the world, because they’re accessible to you whether you live in Ann Arbor, Austin, Santa Clara, or London. We hope that some of these events tide you over to the return of in-person tech events or help you find a new niche or tech community to explore.
Michigan Tech Events Move Online
Our new online tech events page is live and being updated on a rolling basis as many tech communities in Ann Arbor-Detroit and the greater Great Lakes region move online in the coming weeks. Many events have been cancelled temporarily, but this is a great opportunity to attend events that were previously limited to local audiences now open to anyone online. Many are free. We hope you are staying safe and still able to work through these difficult times. Be well.
