Here’s our rundown of the main Michigan tech events going on in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City in August 2021. You can tour the Michigan Engineering Ford Robotics Building in Ann Arbor, visit All Hands Active A2 Retro Tech Meetup for Retro Unix Month, pitch your startup to NEF, A2Newtech, or TCNewTech, or have a beer with your fellow women in tech in Traverse City by beautiful Lake Michigan. We hope you’re having a great summer.
For this month’s Great Lakes region tech events roundup, we are highlighting more online events available to you remotely for safety, as well as including some in-person events you might want to consider. Many groups have reported that they will be keeping remote live streams to some events after the pandemic, but others will not. It’s a great time to check out groups farther from home. This month, we’re including tech events from Chicago as well as our usual focus surrounding Southeast Michigan.
What’s going on lately with all the pitch groups and networking events that have gone virtual? This month, we’re seeing tech groups focus on planning through the end of the coronavirus pandemic to look forward to how work and life will function in the future. Also, we’re seeing a lot of conferences and pitch groups focused on agtech and health and wellness as well as COVID response technology and data analysis. Plus, some regular hackathons are still happening that you won’t want to miss out of Detroit.
It’s already the end of 2020, and many tech events have shifted online. For this month’s tech event roundup, we’ve featured a lineup of great events from Ann Arbor SPARK, as well as a number of tech events and meetups in Chicago and around the world, where tech conferences are still happening but are often moving online for the time being. Please check the conference details as many have changed plans last minute regarding whether they are happening in person or online.
It’s already March, so we’re going back to our standard format for Michigan tech events including meetups this month, in case you’ve missed the usuals. We’ve highlighted a few we think you might be interested in. Have a great month, Great Lakes tech!
Can’t believe it’s already the end of 2019, but we’ve still got some great tech events to end the year. This month, since everyone is busy with the holidays, we’re highlighting some special events and foregoing our usual meetup coverage. We have included some public or semi-public events below that require registration but are open to new members.
We knew this would happen, it just came sooner than expected. We couldn’t possibly cronicle all the amazing tech-related events around Ann Arbor and Detroit, much less the entire state of Michigan, in one post anymore, so our tech events posts will now contain highlighted events you might not know about or one-off conferences you won’t want to miss.
It’s already time for the fall September tech events for Ann Arbor Detroit! This time, we’ve included some paid workshops for intro to coding of various kinds, but please note most of these hosts have multiple workshops for different subjects. Grand Circus, TechTown Detroit, Tech Elevator, and Entirety Technology all have multiple paid workshops you can check out through the links above.
